Terms of Service
Last updated: August 24, 2026 · Applies to the SafePaws mobile app and website
SafePaws is built by True Motion LLC ("we", "us"). By downloading or using the app you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
SafePaws is guidance, not a guarantee
SafePaws estimates paw-burn risk and surface safety from weather data, your camera, and reports from other people. These are estimates. Conditions on the ground change quickly, sensors and forecasts can be wrong, and no app can see everything in front of your animal.
You are responsible for your animal's safety. Always use your own judgment — check the pavement with your hand, watch your animal, and stop the walk if something seems wrong. SafePaws is not veterinary advice. If your animal is injured or in distress, contact a veterinarian.
SafePaws Premium
Premium unlocks the real-time scanner, safe route planning, heat prediction, multiple animal profiles, and injury-risk insights.
- Pricing. $6.99 per month, or $49.99 per year. Prices shown in the app at the time of purchase are the ones that apply, and may differ by country or with local taxes.
- Free trial. New subscribers get 7 days free. If you cancel before the trial ends, you are not charged.
- Billing. Subscriptions bought inside the Android app are billed through your Google Play account. Google handles the payment; we never see your card details.
- Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. Renewal is charged to your Google Play account within 24 hours of the period ending.
- Cancelling. Cancel any time in the Google Play Store under Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions, or at play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep Premium until the period you already paid for runs out.
- Refunds. Purchases made through Google Play are refunded under Google Play's refund policy. We'll help where we can — email us.
- Price changes. If we change the price of an existing subscription, you'll be told in advance and asked to accept before it takes effect, as required by Google Play.
Community hazard reports
You can report hazards to help other people. Please report honestly and only what you've actually seen. Don't submit anything false, abusive, or that identifies another person, and don't upload photos you don't have the right to share. We may remove reports or block accounts that misuse the map.
Reports you submit are shown publicly on the community map, without your name attached. Other people's reports are their own — we don't verify them, and you should treat them as a heads-up rather than a fact.
Using the app properly
Don't use SafePaws to break the law, don't try to reverse-engineer or resell it, and don't use the scanner while driving or anywhere it would put you or anyone else at risk.
Your content
You keep ownership of the photos and notes you submit. By submitting a hazard report you give us permission to display it on the community map and to use de-identified, aggregated versions of it to improve safety features.
Availability
We may add, change, or remove features, and the app depends on services we don't control such as weather data and map tiles. We can't promise the app will always be available or accurate.
Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, True Motion LLC is not liable for injury, loss, or damage arising from your use of SafePaws or from reliance on its estimates. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, so parts of this may not apply to you. Nothing here limits liability that can't legally be limited.
Ending your access
You can stop using SafePaws at any time by deleting the app. We may suspend access if these terms are seriously or repeatedly broken.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change materially, we'll note it in the app and update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use SafePaws after that means you accept the new terms.
