When can I get the app?

SafePaws is launching on iPhone and Android in 2026. Email us with the subject "launch list" and we'll let you know the day it's live.

Common questions

Does the scanner work at night or in the rain? Yes — the scanner classifies surface type in most conditions, and heat alerts always work because they come from live weather, not the camera.

Does SafePaws drain my battery? The scanner uses the camera only during an active walk. The map and alerts use standard location services, comparable to any maps app.

How do I cancel Premium? Premium is $4.99/month or $49.99/year after a 7-day free trial, and you can cancel anytime in the app — tap the PRO badge on the home screen. You keep Premium until the end of the period you paid for.

How accurate are pavement temperatures? Estimates combine live air temperature, sun, and UV with surface type. They're a planning tool, not a laboratory reading — when in doubt, use the 7-second back-of-hand test.

How do I delete my data? Deleting the app removes your pet profile and settings from your device. To remove hazard reports you submitted, email us. Details in our privacy policy.
